Candied Pecans

Candied Pecans
Top a salad with these or enjoy a handful after a meal.

Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon cold water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 pound large pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 225 degrees.
  2. Beat water and egg white until frothy. Mix well with pecans. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix well with pecans. Spread on a cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. When finished baking, remove from oven and allow to cool completely, then break into smaller pieces and enjoy!

Suggestion: So tasty and easy to make! These are always a hit on a salad with gorgonzola cheese, dried cranberries and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. I also recommend making a batch to just eat when you go to a holiday dinner. Also, use parchment paper on the cookie sheet for easy clean up.
